The drug pricing system is broken, according to Capital Rx founder A.J. Loiacono, who has made it his life’s mission to ensure drug transparency and make them affordable for the common person. He compares the drug pricing model to a “roulette wheel”, where PBMs are making decisions based on arbitrary values rather than figures that actually matter.
Capital Rx aims to cut out the middlemen and stakeholders from the drug pricing process, so that the full scope of pharmacy benefits can be experienced by patients.
